We raise F1, F1B, F2, Mulitgenerational Goldendoodles – miniature, medium, and standard outside Boise, Idaho. F1s are the product of a Standard Poodle bred with a Golden Retriever. Most first generation Goldendoodles either don’t shed or shed very lightly. This trait makes F1s compatible for most families with mild allerges.
F1B Goldendoodles are the product of a Goldendoodle and a Standard Poodle. F1Bs resemble an F1, but they have a coarser coat and don’t have an undercoat making them best for families with more severe allergies.
F2s are the product of two Goldendoodles. They are a lot more predictable as far as appearance goes since the variations between both parents are usually minimal.
Standard Goldendoodles typically weigh between 55 and 65 pounds on average. The hybrid cross between these two parent breed make terrific family dogs that are friendly, intelligent, affectionate and easy to train.Miniature goldendoodles weigh less than 35 pounds while Medium goldendoodles weigh between 35 and 45 pounds.
How We Got Started
Sophie was our Golden Retriever and she was an amazing dog from champion lines. Everyone who met her wanted to adopt her. She was beautiful, smart and excellent with children. When we met a Goldendoodle in the park one day, we fell in love with it. We knew it would be a great way to promote the wonderful temperament of Sophie while adding the best of Standard Poodle as well.
Goldendoodles are easily adaptable and can be just as happy running across farm acreage as they would be in a local family home.
We take great pride in the quality of our dogs and promote a strong Goldendoodle community. Cyndi, the owner, quit her job as a CPA a couple years ago for the more rewarding job of staying home with puppies. Socializing and training puppies prior to them going home is a full time job; however, you can see Cyndi’s professionalism in everything she does.
Golden Retriever Vs. Goldendoodle
We have owned both Golden Retrievers and Standard Poodles and we truly believe Goldendoodles enhance both breeds. However, this is only when the lines are carefully selected by an experienced breeder. We love the intelligence of the Standard Poodle, however a Poodle’s upkeep far exceeds that of the Goldendoodle. Plus, with all our history, we have yet to experience a two year “puppy phase” in any of our Goldendoodles as is common with Golden Retrievers.
